LA SEMANA ALEGRE RETURNS APRIL 23 & 24, 2026

The idea for La Semana Alegre at Hemisfair was born out of a love for music and a desire to bring people together in the park at Hemisfair. Inspired by the spirit of San Antonio's original music festival, this two-day event will celebrate all genres of music and provide a platform for both established and up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.

This community event will benefit Hemisfair, the local non-profit whose tagline is “Where San Antonio Meets”. Those who attend the event will be supporting Hemisfair’s mission to revitalize the site of HemisFair ’68 and create a vibrant, walkable urban district for the people of San Antonio. 

Hemisfair will come alive with the sounds of live bands spanning multiple genres, performing in a world-class outdoor venue in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The two-day party in the park will feature your fiesta food and drink favorites including chicken on a stick, gorditas, aguas frescas, cocktails and more!
